About Us

Dog Care Clinic e.V. is a Sri Lankan-based animal welfare organization dedicated to helping both animals and people since 2007. The clinic provides medical care, vaccinations, and sterilization programs for street dogs and other animals, while also offering support for vulnerable communities. Operating both the “Old” and “New” Clinics, the organization delivers daily treatments, surgical care, and emergency interventions, reaching up to 1,500 animals every day. Through consistent outreach, including feeding tours and long-term care, the clinic ensures that rescued animals receive ongoing attention and support, making DOG CARE CLINIC a vital lifeline for animals in Sri Lanka.

Our Mission & Values

The mission of Dog Care Clinic e.V. is to save lives, provide medical care, and promote sustainable animal welfare across Sri Lanka. Their approach combines professional veterinary care, community engagement, and education to reduce the number of street animals, curb disease, and improve quality of life for both animals and humans. Core values include compassion, dedication, and accountability, ensuring that every animal, from street dogs to severely disabled or senior animals, receives attention and a chance at a better life.

Our Key Initiatives

Dog Care Clinic e.V. runs a range of programs that provide direct care, community support, and long-term welfare for animals. Their castration and mass vaccination programs prevent the overpopulation and spread of disease among street animals. Daily feeding tours ensure that treated animals are monitored and cared for once released back into their communities. The ReHome program places dogs into loving local families, while initiatives like DCC 50+ support senior citizens by pairing them with pets, benefiting both human and animal well-being. The organization also provides care for severely disabled animals and hoofed animals, creating dedicated spaces for their specialized needs.

How you can make a difference

We offers multiple ways to get involved, both remotely and on-site. Volunteers can assist in the clinics with daily care, socialization, and enrichment of animals, help organize feeding tours, and support medical treatments. For those not on-site, opportunities include fundraising, participating in awareness campaigns, or becoming a sponsor/patron for specific animals. Every contribution, whether through time, expertise, or financial support, helps the organization continue its life-saving work and expand its impact across Sri Lanka.
